Verb Pattern 1

VERB PATTERN 1

In this pattern the verb has a direct object, Example :













Asking the Subject and the Object


Example :

John bought a book yesterday.

a. Who bought a book yesterday?
b. What did John buy yesterday?

Affirmative and Negative Statements with Like and Want

Example :

Do you like eggs?

Answer : I like eggs, but I don't want any.

Exercise 

Answer with an affirmative and negative statements with Like and Want.


1. Do you like apple?
2. Does Marry like cabbage?
3. Does John like bananas?
4. Do you like honey?
5. Do you like oranges?

Convert the sentences below into question by asking the subject and the object.


6. The students learn new words.
7. John practiced the conversations.
8. Bill pronounces the difficult words.
9. The tourist visited some places of interest.
10. John and Marry will discuss the lesso.
